NA MEMÓRIA (IN MEMORY) / 4'18''/ 2009
"Na memória" is the second study on multiple options which images from TV gives us as working material. As well as the first study "Espaços" ("Spaces"), presented at MidiaArt - FILE 2009, in São Paulo, Brazil, it undergoes the concept of "corrupting what is already corrupted", so blurring the strength of television´s pictures. Images other than those from TV can be seen is this video, differently fom the first video. In "Na memória " the music brings to the surface a religious motif, somewhat obscured by the noise present within the image. Therefore, two lines of perception occur simultaneously in a chaotic and tense way; the music becomes more and more mixed up in order to bring the images into one single, so that we cannot perceive exactly what we see or hear.
